WHY THE PEN NAME ESPOIR

When I chose the pen name Espoir, I wasn’t just picking a word—I was embracing a meaning that deeply resonated with me. Espoir is the French word for Hope, and today, I want to share the journey that led me to this name and why it means so much to me.

The Meaning of ESPOIR

Before I even knew the meaning of Espoir, the word had an unusual pull on me. It felt like love at first sight—one of those moments when something just clicks deep within, even before understanding it. When I later researched its meaning and found out it was the French word for Hope, it all made sense. It wasn’t just a beautiful word; it carried a powerful message that resonated with me.

How I Came Across the Name

One day, I was scrolling through Pinterest, simply admiring beautiful clothes and natural hairstyles. As I explored, I started coming across words that didn’t sound English but actually were. You know how Pinterest works—once you click on an image, it suggests similar ones below. I got drawn into engaging with the words I saw, and suddenly, Espoir appeared.

At first, I thought it was an English word, but curiosity led me to look up its meaning. That’s when I discovered it was French for Hope. The word stuck with me instantly. It felt right, as though it had been waiting for me to find it.

What ESPOIR Represents in My Writing

Choosing Espoir as my pen name was more than just picking a beautiful word—it was about embracing what Hope stands for. Garden and Grace, is all about lifestyle, gardens, sustainable living, and faith. Hope ties into all these themes:
  • Gardens represent growth, renewal, and patience—just like hope.
  • Sustainability is about believing in a better future and making choices that support it.
  • Faith is deeply rooted in hope, trusting that better days are ahead.
Through my writing, I want to share hope in different ways—whether it’s through practical advice, inspiration, or simply creating a space where readers feel encouraged.



Why Hope is Important to Everyone

Hope is what keeps us moving forward. It’s the quiet strength that tells us tomorrow can be better. No matter what we face, hope reminds us that change, healing, and growth are possible.

That’s why I chose Espoir—because I want my words to inspire, uplift, and remind people that there is always hope, even in the simplest things.
